to a late winner from Francisco Conceicao.

Fresh from a victory over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League play-off, Juventus continued with Randal Kolo Muani up front, while Inter had Denzel Dumfries back from suspension but Marcus Thuram was only fit for the bench.

It was an end-to-end thriller with both sides constantly creating scoring opportunities, as Dumfries hit the woodwork twice.

Juve broke the deadlock in the 74th minute when Kolo Muani drew out the defenders and laid the ball off for Conceicao to finish with a left-footed strike.

Inter had a chance to equalize but Thuram saw a close-range header go over the bar.

With the defeat, Inter still ranks second on 54 points, two points behind Napoli, while Juve sits level with fifth-placed Lazio on 46 points, but ranks fourth thanks to a superior goal difference.

Also on Sunday, Matias Soule's free kick helped Roma to 1-0 victory over Parma, while goals from Assane Diao and Nico Paz saw Como past Fiorentina 2-0.

Elsewhere, Udinese dominated Empoli 3-0, and Monza and Lecce played out a 0-0 draw.
